License plate bracket installation instructions.
Gen 1 install:
Parts list:
- • Aluminum Bracket
- • 4 washers
- • 1" long Bolts
- • 4 nuts
- (Recommended: Lock-tite. NOT PROVIDED)
1. Mounting on the lower grill:
- i. Take the inside nuts and thread them down towards the aluminum bracket.
- ii. Insert the studs into the lower grille and add the two outer washers and nuts on the back of the grill.
- iii. Adjust the depth of the bracket for the plate to stick out using the nuts.
- iv. Add a small drop of lock-tite to the nuts and tighen down to 14ft-Lbs.
2. Adding the licence plate:
- i. Use the 1/4" bolts provided.
- ii. AMERICAN PLATES: use the inside holes to bolt the plate to the bracket.
- iii. JDM PLATES: use the outside holes and bolt the plate to the bracket.
Gen 2 Install:
Parts list:
- • Aluminum Bracket
- • 4 washers with 90 degree bends
- • 1" long Bolts
- • 4 nuts
- • (Recommended: Lock-tite. NOT PROVIDED)
1. Mounting on the lower grill:
- i. Take the inside nuts and thread them down towards the aluminum bracket.
- ii. Remove the outside nuts and insert the modified washers with the lips facing eachother.
- iii. Reinstall the nuts.
- iv. Insert the studs into the lower grille with the two outer washers.
- v. Position the washers so that the lips contact the upper part of the plastic grille.
- vi. Adjust the depth of the bracket for the plate to stick out using the nuts.
- vii. Add a small drop of lock-tite to the nuts and tighen down to 14ft-Lbs.
2a. Adding the licence plate with factory plastic holder:
- i. Use the 1" bolts provided.
- ii. Use the inside holes and bolt the plate to bracket.
- *note: with this option you cannot use JDM plates.
2b. Adding the licence plate without factory plastic holder:
- i. Use the 1/4" bolts provided.
- ii. AMERICAN PLATES: use the inside holes to bolt the plate to the bracket.
- iii. JDM PLATES: use the outside holes and bolt the plate to the bracket.
ALL YEARS:
Make sure all nuts are secure and re-tighten in 50 miles.
